My husband is in the background process with the CHP - He was also in the background process with CDCR and Riverside Sheriffs. But got DQ'ed from them. He wrote a memo to the CHP Background Investigator to inform him of the current findings - so that it wouldn't be a discovery on their part. The BI called and said he got it, had a few questions like do you know why? We don't know why as the agencies make you sign a waiver saying they don't have to give any explanation of Disqualification. Two days later the CHP BI called and asked my husband to come in for another interview. What do you think that means. Maybe a formal DQ - or What?

They just want to know more information about these issues. If they wanted to DQ him, they would send a letter saying "see ya"! They wouldn't waste the time, money, or resources to being him in just to say he was DQ.

Can't really say. My guess would be that your husband passed the Background Investigation. But I cant be too sure. It's also possible that it can be a formal DQ.

I hope it worked out for your husband.

Any answer is a GUESS. It could be he KNOWS why you were disqualified from the other agencies. ONLY the BI knows for sure.
