Why are cops killing thousands of dogs?

Question

One department alone in New York has killed 92 dogs since 2011 (25 kills for one officer alone).

Most of these cases occur when the government thugs (police) are breaking into another persons house in order to extort/kidnap that individual for a VICTIMLESS action (like drug or firearm offense). Then they shoot the dog who is rightfully defending its home.

Even if the cause for police being there was just (like for a murder or something) the dogs do not know. They are just defending their territory.

No wonder why a growing number of people feel no sympathy when hearing o a cop killed in the line of duty

It makes me happy. So they may be a father or a brother, so what? Nazis were fathers and brothers too. Does that mean the world should have felt bad for them?

I don't really have an answer...but I agree with your statement about the dog not knowing. Its not the dogs fault. Heard stories of police being scared by a dog and shooting it before finding out that the dog was chained.. Dogs being shot for running up and barking...doing their job???? The officers simply shoot, kill, claim they were afraid for their safety, then off scott-free. No replacing the family pet. Yes I agree...and its sad. Officers really should be more open to that when a barking dog is approaching...My dog wouldn't bite anyone but her bark will scare the crap outta ya so I worry that she doesn't break her runner when the police sit in the parking lot next to the house because I know that these officers WOULD shoot her. SAD.

Cause the dogs attack them. If you have to choose between getting bitten or shooting the dog, you shoot the dog because the person who owns the dog could be trying to shoot you. That's why the cops have dogs, they are there to take the first bullet so people don't get shot. If you are into illegal stuff and you don't want the cops to shoot your dog, keep the dog locked in a kennel.

I like dogs. I have two dogs. But when it comes down to brass tax, I want the dog to get shot instead of me or my wife or daughter. That is what one of their original purposes was, to get hurt instead of us.

I've seen video where a cop just shoots a persons dog because they know how much that will affect the owner of the dog. They know they can get away with that kind of psychotic behavior so they do it.

I was a meter reader for years. customers used to call the dogs to attack m, because they thought I was there to cut them off. Dogs that they would beat, starve to make them mean, have their voice boxes removed so you could not hear them coming. I got bit in the neck by one, just for trying to read a meter.

Can you imagine what those owners use the dogs for on the cops?

Because they are cowards that can get by with anything..Not only shooting dogs,but innocent people before they know the facts..I have no sympathy for these coward cops!!!
