No, But they do it anyway. They will make up a reason. They have no problem lying to people but get pissed if you lie to them.

Well, I tried reading your story but it took awhile since your spelling and grammar makes it virtually unreadable.

I also don't believe you are telling the full story.

But to answer your very original question. The officer didn't pull you over since you were stopped and parked. He performed a car check on you and made an encounter with your friends. And yes they can do that. As for attitude, seems like you started it. Treat people how you want to be treated and all that.

A police officer can pull you over whenever he feels like it. Even if they want to say hey.

As far as your story goes, I don't think I'm being told it in its entirety.

How about give RESPECT instead of ATTITUDE? Grow up.

probably a neighbor called . There are around fifteen police officers living within a 1/4 square mile area here where I live..when one gets a call they all come to visit . Our neighborhood has some violent people living in it.. so I don't blame them.

if all your boys were blocking the road..and giving attitude to the neighbors...well neighbors do not like that too much. The neighbors know which people give trouble and which do not. They tell the police. I kinda think you might not be telling the entire story and are leaving out the real reason the police showed up. Torrance is known for gang related activity which is illegal and has LOTS of violent people in it.. which is WHY it is illegal.

Personally I can't stand gangs.. just another immature group afraid to grow up and become great parents. In school there will always be insecure kids which want to belong and there will always be other people who want to pretend they care about them..but really only want to increase the gang membership so the violence can get worse. OF COURSE the police are going to show up when a large group gathers.

Well, Many pieces of legislation have been passed in the past couple of years that allow to police to pull over or stop anyone they feel like, even without justifiable cause. It's all supposed to be part of this phony bologna "war on terror" crap, stopping ordinary blue collar americans.

As for the attitude they gave you? they really aren't supposed to, but as I said, they've been given pretty much total immunity to do whatever they want.

Hell I got stopped a few times for no reason. I even got stopped recently for simply walking down the street cause the cop thought it was suspicious. I guess the police state is here.

Meanwhile there's some mafia run Incinerator just a couple of miles from here operating illegally (burning tires and medical waste and such) but the cops won't touch them.

One afternoon, my band was rehersing at my house, the police were called becouse of the noise, (we would have turned down if someone had simply asked), before I knew it there were 4 police cars in front of my house, the first question I was asked was "are there any under age girls here", I have no idea why they asked that question, it was just my band and our girlfriends, we are all in our 30's, next they started looking for drugs, I don't even take aspirin. There ended up being about 6 cops looking through my house and be very intimidating. The final out come was, they said we were not alowed to just turn down, we could not reherse at all,

I asked one of the cops if we could just unplug and reherse that way, he said "if I come back here you are going to jail"

So the answer to your question is yes, they can harras you if they want and they will get away with it, it is a shame that they don't have the balls to harras the gang members and crack dealers. From now on when you meet a cop, keep your cool, it is a no win situation. Peace.

I noticed I got 2 thumbs down, I don't know why, I just stated the facts and said to keep your cool. It must have been a cop

and that just goes to show you thier mentallity. They indiscriminately deny, deny, deny and believe me this is not the only time a cop has been a sh-t head to me. This is exactly the reason I stopped giving to the fraternal order of police and the police athletic association, give me a gun, a badge,a night stick,a can of mace and back up and I can be a hard azz too, It's a shame that these jelly bellies f'ed up such a noble profession, at least we still have real heroes in the fire dept.

So let me get this right, you(just an innocent bystander) is dropping off food for a friend when the police just show up a start harassing everyone. Gee how many times have I heard that. By the sounds of all the guys who came out of the house to meet you, I am willing to bet there was a party at this house. The neighbors called the cops because of the noise and you showed up at the wrong time. Now the cops start interviewing everyone and either you or one of the boys starts talking back to the cops, so the cops get more suspicious of all of you. Then you want to stare at one of the officers. I can tell you right now cops don't like to be stared at unless they are directly talking to you or your direct involvement in the conversation is needed.

As far as the marker, there is a law in Cal. that paint markers are against the unless your 21. Why? Because gang bangers use they to put their tags all over town.

I hope this helps if you don't want to be bothered by the cops, find a different class of friends.

A place to rate them was deleted through "Safety of officer's family" it was http://ratemycop.com/

Unfortunately yes, there are plenty of Peace Officers that are aggressive and intimidate to control you.

To overcome aggressive Law Enforcement personnel ask them for their ID and write notes. Once they realize they can no longer intimidate you they will back off to a certain point.

The few good Peace Officers suffer since many bossed have quotas to justify their promotion.

Even FBI agents with integrity and become Whistle Blowers were fired for telling the truth.

Law Enforcement are to practice Transparency which means they are to be approachable.

GoDaddy Silences RateMyCop.com

Censorship The Internet

mikesd81 writes

"Wired is running a story about GoDaddy shutting down a police watchdog site called RateMyCop. However, GoDaddy can't seem to give a consistent answer as for why. From the article: 'RateMyCop founder Gino Sesto says he was given no notice of the suspension. When he called GoDaddy, the company told him that he'd been shut down for suspicious activity. When Sesto got a supervisor on the phone, the company changed its story and claimed the site had surpassed its 3 terabyte bandwidth limit, a claim that Sesto says is nonsense. "How can it be overloaded when it only had 80,000 page views today, and 400,000 yesterday?" Sesto says police can post comments as well, and a future version of the site will allow them to authenticate themselves to post rebuttals more prominently. Chief Dyer wants to get legislation passed that would make RateMyCop.com illegal, which, of course, wouldn't pass constitutional muster in any court in America.'"

Let's see here lol .... 3 separate officers tell YOU to knock off the attitude. They even tell you that it is YOUR attitude which made them suspicious.

And let's look at it from a normal adult's viewpoint. Here the cop comes on patrol and sees a girl standing outside of someone's "house" with a bunch of boys gathered around. They pull up, get out of their patrol car and approach the group, perhaps to tell them something simple like "the car is parked facing the wrong way, somebody turn it around" or "you guys are making a bit too much noise".

And the girl gives them lip. "Attitude", if you will.

Cops question them, get more attitude from said girl, cop gets suspicious and upon further investigation find a few items which might be drug-related. Which would explain the girl's attitude.

And you come on here asking about their attitude? LOL baby, grow up hon, show some respect, not attitude.

They can pretty much do whatever they want. All they need is a justifiable cause to pull you over/ question you, and that can be something as simple as you looked suspicious.

Maybe next time you shouldnt get an attitude with the police officers. If you really want them to leave you alone then be respectful.
