I want to get everyone’s opinion on this video. Cops please comment as well.

Here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dHNqHMPiNk&feature=channel

This woman says she is going to file a complaint with the Internal Affairs division of the Baltimore Police Department regarding the treatment she received by police. The GIST: She was driving with expired tags. The officer pulled her over and then advised her to turn off her car off and give him the keys. THAT DOES NOT SOUND LIKE AN UNREASONABLE REQUEST AT ALL.

Then the driver’s sister states:
“I saw all the baby shower gifts was laying on the side of the road and my sister was standing there crying”. First of all, she doesn’t even know how to speak. “WAS” should be “were”. And ohhhhh too bad for her sister standing there crying. She shouldn’t have been driving a car with expired tags. Big whine baby crying because of her own unlawful mistake. I could give a F about her baby shower SH*T.

She “committed” a violation of the law and she doesn’t like the consequences. WELL TOO BAD YOU MISERABLE B…I…T..C.H

Here’s my opinion.

This woman complains the police treated her like a criminal. In my own opinion, here’s what I think. Police always have to be cautious, EVEN if the person has a clean driving record and has never been convicted as a criminal. The officer has no F’ing idea what the driver’s intensions were at that point in time. HOW IS THE OFFICER SUPPOSED TO KNOW THAT SHE ISN’T GOING TO KILL HIM??? Therefore, it’s only natural for the officer to be on the defensive side and go for his gun or his taser, ESPECIALLY if the person starts reaching around (which she admitted) and/or acting aggressively (which I don’t doubt she was) and making fast movements (which I also don’t doubt).

Not to mention, her tags were expired. Is that not criminal? OF COURSE IT’S CRIMINAL.. THUS, the officer has every right to treat her like what she is. What? Just because she’s a woman she deserves to be treated as queen. She shouldn’t be driving around with expired tags. Who the F does she think she is anyway? Just because she’s a woman with a clean driving record MEANS NOTHING

AM I WRONG FOR GETTING THIS P..I..S..S..E…D???

HOW MANY PEOPLE (INCLUDING COPS) AGREE WITH MY OPINION ON THIS?

I can tell you this... it is not unusual for dangerous criminals to have clean driving records, so that should not even be taken into consideration. It it common, however, for criminals to be argumentative.

It is reasonable to tell someone to shut the car off and turn over the keys. His intent was to tow the car, and that can not be done unless the person exits.

What you don't hear from the owner is how many times she was probably told not to go near the car, but she did anyway. If someone refuses to listen, and goes into a car I have not searched yet, I would be going for my gun also.

My guess is there is video, but the police are going to wait until after she files a formal complaint to make it public. That way, they can determine the credibility of her story.

If she had kept the tags current, then she wouldn't be in this predicament. The tags were 6 MONTHS OVER DUE.....If you ask me, 6 months is more than enough time to get a tag renewed. i highly doubt that the officer was as rood as she says he was. We only heard her side of the story, People tend to exaggerate a lot when it comes to the police officers conduct and how someone was treated. I mainly think the reason she is doing this is to get back at the officer for towing away her car and causing her all of this trouble. Had she been responsible, this never would have happened. I think she is also mad because she didn't get her way. I'm sure she asked the officer for a little leanness. And when she didn't get it, she then pulled out the " I'm a nurse at a hospital". Come on........Its all her fault.

You know, it's really pretty simple. You do what the cops say, you take the ticket, you get the registration current, you go to court, and it gets dismissed.

Or we can make it into a news story full of drama, fill out some forms, start an investigation with IAD, use up a large number of police man-hours, and then wonder why the crime rates are what they are.

I'll wait till the dash cam video comes out. They usually complain as being the victim but when the video comes out their behavior at the scene often tells a different story and no I don't think from my experience they are as innocent as they make themselves out to be for the moment. Let them file the complaint though it is their right as citizens and thank God the press is Never Unbiased.
