I want to park my car for one overnight in Lowes parking lot, there are no signs prohibiting overnight parking. Does unauthorized parking mean no overnight parking or something else?

AT MINIMUM, it means if you are not either shopping or working in the store, your car can be towed from the lot. Parking for ANY other reason IS unauthorized. The sign you refer to DOES prohibit overnight parking unless the store is open all night.

It means what it says. Best to ask first, otherwise your vehicle will be towed. In order to get your vehicle back, you'll have to pay towing fees plus storage.

Unauthorized parking basically means you can only park there if you are a customer, and only during the hours that they are open to customers.  You could always ask a store manager for permission to park overnight, but that's up to them.  You could absolutely be towed, otherwise.  Is there a Walmart nearby?  They practically always allow overnight parking.

That's not a very good idea. Lowe's doesn't allow anyone to park their vehicles in their parking lot overnight, even if there are no signs to tell you of that. This also applies to unauthorized parking. Your car can be at risk of getting towed at your expense. Consider keeping it parked at your home instead.

Remember the parking lot is only for Lowe's customers and not for any other purpose.

It means no parking, at any time, overnight or in the day, by anyone who isn't authorized.  Presumably customers are allowed to be parked there while actually shopping there.  Employees might be allowed to be parked there while working, but that's not necessarily true (some business make employees park farther away to make room for customers).  But other than that, any parking, day or not, is prohibited unless they tell you it is allowed.

If you are not authorized to park there - i.e, shopping at Lowe's - your vehicle can and will be towed.

You could park it there, but if you ended up finding that your car was towed, they would inform you of the sign. Parking overnight would be unauthorized parking, unless you were employed there and at work while it was parked there. If that makes sense to you.

Come on,  you know they put the parking lot there for customers to park in while they are shopping.   They did not put it there for people to use as a storage place for vehicles,  not even for over night.    If you park there when the store is closed then that is unauthorized and they can either tow you or boot you.   If you want to do something like that go to Walmart.

It means that if you're shopping at Lowes, you're authorized. If you're not shopping a Lowes you are not.

In short unless  you are a customer or employee you have no business in their parking lot and your vehicle can be towed away

Unauthorized parking is for anyone not shopping at Lowes.  At 3am no one is shopping there and therefore any cars there can be towed.
