Question:
Can probation increase the number of drug tests I take a month without telling me?

I signed a paper a while ago saying I had to take 3 drug tests a month. Last month I failed my UA for the first time, but she didn't say anything about increasing the number of tests I had to take, just if I failed again I would go to a judge. This month I've already had 3 and it's weirding me out because it's not only halfway through the month, but I've been on probation for a year and only ever had 3 a month. Since I failed though could she have increased it without telling me even though I didnt sign a paper or was notified? Any help would be great, thanks!

And for the record, not asking so I can go and do drugs for the rest of the month since I already had 3. I'm a full time college student and worker and alot of the times I have to wake up early to call to see if I have a drug test so I can take it before my busy schedule. It would be nice to be able to sleep if I know I'm done with tests for the rest of the month. And I've only ever smoked weed, not a crazy criminal, i got caught smoking on my birthday, so no lectures please. Thanks!

yes they can change without notice

I was a driver and had surprise tests all the time

and your life will be way less complicated if you walk away from the weed

and don't allow it in your car or home from guests....they may grumble but will respect your wishes later on

it takes practice...you wouldn't believe how many lines of coke I said no thanks to, and they all looked at me like I was crazy...I never made a big deal out of it, just no thanks....but no cig smoking or otherwise in my home either...go outside to smoke cigs

they don't call it dope for nothing.....

best wishes

Why would you think they couldn't increase your tests? Obviously they can't penalize you for missing tests you didn't know you had to take, but they can change your schedule as needed. If you're failing drug tests, then it's needed.

"Since I failed though could she have increased it without telling me "

She can have you brought you back to the judge and asked for your probation to be terminated - would you prefer that?

"I didnt sign a paper "

You need to rethink your relationship with probation. Probation is the alternative to going to judge. You're not getting married to them - they don't have to sign something like a pre-nup. They own you.

"I'm a full time college student and worker and alot of the times I have to wake up early to call to see if I have a drug test so I can take it before my busy schedule"

I've seen that argument used all the time, and nobody ever buys it. If you've got time to buy dime bags and smoke that chronic, you've got time to piss into a cup for probation. Your positive tox test results show many things - especially that you've got too much time on your hands. That;s not a lecture - it's deirecrtly responsive to your question.

Stoner you are a Prisoner an Inmate not a free citizen

your signature is irrelevant and only for their use for future problems should you try to say you were unaware of the requirement regarding drug tests

they can do whatever they want until your release date

either you jump through whatever hoops they present you with when they say jump

or you go to prison

Period

if they figure it is worth it they can test you twice a week or even daily

it is their decision not yours

shut up and suck it up or go to prison

Take time from your "busy" schedule and read your Conditions of Probation, again, please. It clearly states that if you violate your probation, you could be sent to prison for the duration of our sentence. You violated your probation when you failed the drug test. The county is NOT going to spend more money on testing you. You goofed.

you've asked this same question several times.

Here's the answer that you want to read...

Your PO is wrong for doing that to you,you should never be be inconvenienced by getting drug screened.

You should do whatever the hell you want on your birthday.

Now the truth...get over it ! !

Yes they can require additional tests and are likely to do so if you failed a test.

Yes, of course they can. But if that's such a burden to you, you have an alternative. Just do the time.
