Long story I am an international student and I study in Uk i came back to Uk in august to resit and move in my new apartment. The day before I left for my country I was caught shopliftin from boots 3 nailpolish. The camera security man followed me and police came i went to the police office got my details and they told me they will send me a letter to pay a fine and thats it I came back in september expecting to get the letter with the fine but I never recieved it and I didnt do anything anout it. A few days ago I just realised that the address of where I live now that my landlord gave me is wrong( the contact had a wrong address on it ) and I gave them the wrong address thats why the letter never came (just like other staff ordered from internet etc) now I dont know what to do.. In 2 weeks am going back to my country and I am scared that they will stop me at the airport and not let me fly back or something like that . Can someone that knows help me and tell me what to do pls ?? Am so scares should I go at the police explain them what happen and pay ? but will they belive me ? pls help

Call the store and ask to speak to the person in charge of security/loss prevention, and explain your situation. They may refer you to the local police, but I highly doubt they will arrest you. Just give them your new address and pay the fine. Be aware there may be a late fee attached to it.

And to avoid future troubles....don't shoplift again.

Rex you sound like a stand up form of guy. These scumbags fining you all that money simply because your a thief. Why no longer try to steal $800 worth of merchandise from J.C.Penny's and promote it on the black market for $350. No longer simplest might then you definitely pay the first-class you will additionally make a excellent $25 out of the entire deal. Higher yet why do not you simply throw a molotov cocktail by means of the window of Macy's. That may most of the time spoil all their documentation of the unfortunate incident.

If you go to the police you can sort it out and then you will have a clear conscience and sleep at night. I would report to the police. Otherwise you would be just another thieving yob with no moral scruples.
