My friend was drunk a few nights ago and yelled at a guy "Hey tough guy, get a load of this!" and flipped him off. Well that guy got in his car with two friends and chased us down, we lost him but he somehow found us again right as I parked at our apartment and now he knows where we live. This guy is huge and just wants to **** us up or something, he had something dark in his hand when he chased us down in his car. Later that night we saw him driving outside our house with a car full of people, we've seen his friends parked outside our house and we can hear his subs as he drives by every night.

What do we do? We think he's going to break in or wait for us to come out someday. As I type he's still driving by every 30 minutes. He saw my truck so I haven't parked it outside since that night, instead I keep it at a friend's house. I think they're waiting for it to come back.

How do we defend ourselves? We have no guns, just knives. We've put sheets over the windows and we tried calling the police but they say it's just threats and they can't do anything!

You should probably have a baseball bat and pepper spray with you just in case too. Keep a knife under your pillow and the bat behind your doors. Just remember to lock your doors and always keep the phone ready for an emergency call and don't ever be alone in the house. I think you should inform close friends and relatives about this in case so that at least they know. It's also better to just tell the police about the whole story and maybe if you could go out in daylight with friends and yell if you could talk please telling those guys it was one big misunderstanding and that your friend was drunk and wasn't thinking right and you are very sorry is there anything they want as compensation. You are an innocent involved in a big and very dangerous misunderstanding and it's not fair for you at all.

Yes, you can still go to jail until they realize that the castle law takes effect (i don't know if Idaho has this law, but Texas does). It basically states that in your home you should not have to retreat, that your home is your castle, where you have every right to defend home and person, and if they guy gave a warning, he had probable cause if the guy did not stop his actions. Now, he can still go through an investigation to show that yes he was entitled to shoot, but once that is done he should not have any problems. He needs to get a good lawyer, because if Idaho has this law, then the home owner's rights have been violated, and the intruder should have been charged.

Looks like you got yourself in a pickle now. Unfortunately you picked the wrong guy, who knows what he will do. You are on your own.
