I don't know that he is guilty of murder and I was well into adulthood during the entire episode. I am also white if that matters (and it might, statistically speaking).
I remember a lot of alternative theories that were suggested at the time of the crime that were never addressed in court or elsewhere once OJ was arrested.
IIRC, some of the more intriguing ones surrounded the high level drug deals gone bad possibilities of Nicole's close friend(s).
He was tried in court, and the prosecution put in a good long time and did the best they could. they have never said publicly that they would have done anything different, not enough to make a difference, so I think they did "show up" the whole time, they just didn't make their burden.
As for this time, I think he will be acquitted again also. All of the people in the room on all sides are kooks and OJ is probably the only one without a conviction record. Probably as witnesses they will be no more helpful then Fuhrman or Kaelin were in the first case.
I don't think you can say "LA" was responsible for the verdict. And even if you did, hey, this one is going to be in Vegas, and what could be more fun then that?
Finally, it will be interesting to see if the goldmans will ever get to the task of grieving their son and living the rest of their life. Frankly, I find them to be as much a carnival as OJ himself, and far sadder, shallow characters. I really wish they would get some effective grief counseling.
