they vidoe taped the sexual abuse and murders of kristen french and leslie mahoffy. they are also responsible for the death of karlas own sister.all this took place in the small town of port dalhousie near st.catherines. bernardo was sentenced to life in prison and karla "made a deal with the devil" and was released last year. she is living in montreal i believe.

Homolka was anything but a victim, and certainly, anything but innocent in those horrific crimes. Until they met, Paul Bernardo was the Scarborough Rapist...he had not killed any women. It wasn't until after he met Homolka and her bag of nasty tools that he began killing. All of this came out in the trial - the fact that the killings were encouraged and facilitated by Homolka - but only AFTER she had cut her deal with the prosecution. The third perpetrator of grave injustice in this case is the police and legal handling of this case - it was botched badly. And as a result, a murderer is now walking free in Karla Homolka.
