I am a senior in high school. I plan to go to college to get my masters degree in Criminal Justice and Get my Associates Degree in Sociology. What else would you think i should do to be in the best shape to get a job as a Deputy Us Marshal? i have done alot of research. Its my dream. Anything you can tell me that i can do to have a good chance even down to volunteer work or jobs or things in college other than what i have told you. Like even i have heard i should practice with fire arms,History of legal rights other than just my classes, amendments, martial arts....are those good ideas? Also anything else you think i could do to help my chances. And how long does it take to get a job? could i attempt to get one after i get my bachelors degree? and continue school. Again Anything else you can tell me that would help? Thank you. Names Tyler.

You are on the mark with qualifications, but you need to understand some of the politics. Federal law enforcement is a family and sometimes you have to break in from a different direction. A good friend of mine wanted the USMS, but they were hiring so infrequently. However, the Border Patrol is constantly hiring. He went into the Border Patrol and changed over to USMS after about 3 years. You see he was an easy hire and got preference by coming from within government service. With his background not an issue he was brought on board with a minimum of training. This is knowledge shared within the law enforcement family. Good luck.

both are tremendous occupation's. if you're conventional into the State Trooper application, there are diverse steps to take. In our State we'd want to first do duty as a Capital(of your State) Police Officer or guard. that factor is spent in engaged on the Capital and study. Then after a three hundred and sixty 5 days of teaching, you'd be on the starting up of being a State Trooper. US Marshal is an extremely good interest too, only element is you ought to have both a defense force Retirement heritage, or regulation Enforcement. Many defense force Retirment officials are US Marshal's. Many go back and forth and paintings for the airways, to furnish secure practices to Air go back and forth. rather many times they are center elderly people. To develop right into a US Marshal you fairly desire a robust heritage. i might want to be the State Trooper. i do not desire to fly.
