when you get a letter addressed for your parents through the post just take it and don't show it to them, if it turns out to be from school or something then just seal it up again and give it to them.

They're pretty busy. I doubt they have a desk cop who's job it is to write letters to the parents of kids who were caught drinking.

What they did do however is take the time to make a mental record of who you are and where you live. Kids don't get away with getting caught too many times. It is against the law.

They can send a letter home so must say to you about it so you can not then ask them why you have one. But they are mostly likely not to as what you done was minor and nothing to worry about they have much bigger issues to deal with.

Yes they can. As I'm deaf I communicate with them in writing. They have send me letters to my home. But more often it is by email. I always write to them by email (questions and answers) because at least I'm shure they received my message. You didn't need to fear because they are very courteous. This is to you to answer them with the same courteousness.

James Clarke is kidding himself if he thinks that a cop is his very good friend. It all depends on the intelligence of the cop that stopped you. We do have a culture in our country of cops wasting too much time chasing people for drinking. But dont worry too much, but the thing is, only someone with the I.Q of a cop or a plate of melted chocolate chip ice cream thinks that it is clever or macho to drink. Through out the world billions of people live in cultures that do not touch alcohol and they all see to get through life. Even in our own country there are several religious groups that have happy lives with out booze or other stimulants.

Probably not.
