My friend was recently stopped by a police officer and questioned about a package that was retrieved with his name and his mothers address on it that contained drugs in it. He knows nothing about the package. In fact he was informed by someone that the package was actually delivered acroos the street, opened by the residents across the street who seen what was in the package and then called police to come get it after they opened it. The package was never delivered to his mothers address. After being stopped and questioned about it he went to the police station the next day and is being pressured by law enforcement because they insist that he knows something. They told him if he doesnt give them some informatioin they will be arresting him for a package he knows nothing about. He never seen it, touched it etc. Ive heard of people in my area mailing packages with drugs in them to addresses and sitting and waiting for the packages to be delivered. They retrieve the packages before the home owners are aware that the packages were even delivered. My questions are can he be held accountable for the package if he has no association with the package other than his name being on it? Anybody can send a package and put anyones name on it. He never seen it, touched it in fact like I said the package was not even delivered to his mothers address. If they do try to arrest him for it. Is the package even legal evidence anymore? If it did have his name on it and was opened by someone who wasnt him. Isnt that illegal to open a package that you know isnt yours? The police did not obtain a package from the post office or anything. They recieved the package from someone who took possession and illegally opened a package that they knew was not theirs. My friend is pretty freaked out about the situation as well as his family at his mothers. So please please please give honest input.

The postman is NOT allowed to deliver a package across the street that has your address on it - would cost him his job. The post is used for sending drugs but those that receive the parcel are waiting for it.

Depends on how much drugs was found as to how much effort the police will put into taking your friend to court. It did not have his name on for nothing - if this is a true story but as the package has been tampered with by others he cannot be held responsible for it.

This sounds like a bs story. Package gets delivered next door? Maybe. Neighbours open package with someone elses name on it? Unlikely. Drug dealers getting parcels sent to false addresses then sitting around waiting for it to arrive before owner gets it? Very unlikely.

You stated no and he pushed you into it. it would not rely how less than the impression of alcohol you're, or in case you idea he change into captivating, no ability no. And he might want to harm yet another woman. Please tell someone, anybody.
