What is the noise ordinance law for Brevard County, FL?

I keep getting the cops called on me for playing music too loud.....
The cops say there is a 24 hour noise ordinance in brevard county. But a few other local bands ive talked to here say that is a load of crap.
Also, ive NEVER heard of a frikkin 24 hour noise ordinance law....

If it were between your friends at the local band or the police....I'd strongly suggest the police know more about the laws and ordinances!



There are numerous websites provided by individual municipalities within Brevard County that discuss the noise ordinances.



If you research by individual municipal or the entire county you can see the county does, in fact, maintain such ordinances and laws.



You may also check your state laws which is what my particular jurisdiction adheres to which classifies loud noise under "Disorderly Conduct" which is defined as that which "annoys the public."

I have never heard of a 24 hour noise ordinance either unless you're near a nursing home or school. In fact, I live in Florida and I didn't know counties have noise ordinances, it's usually something municipal (citywide). If you go to the courthouse in your county seat (I think that's Ft. Lauderdale) you can go to the law library and look it up. Or you might try searching on your computer under "Brevard County, FL/ordinances" Good luck to you.

Probably ...he is screwed,,, I had a friend one time in PBC (fl) that got 6 months on his 1st offense DUI under 21. He ended up serving 1/2 but still that is quite harsh. But I would say he is right he would need divine intervention not to go back to jail being he is already on probation. GL

I live in Sun-tree Melbourne FL, the place where you can't really make any noise, but there cutting grass at 0600 in the morning its so annoying and loud. It starts on Tuesdays at 0800 on Wednesday at 0800 and on Thursday at 0600..so 3 days out of a week you are NOT sleeping in or if you have a night Job and come home at 0400..HELP

We cant have any BBQ party's or play Music or talk loud.cause the neighbors complain.............but cutting grass at 0600 in the morning is OK....
