A few weeks ago my apartment was robbed, we came in the front door and our sliding glass door was open, and a kitchen window was only half way open. We have a computer on a table in front of the window and no papers or anything was disturbed. The sliding glass door was locked, before we left, but the window wasn't locked.
The only things that were stolen was a camera (valued at $600 3 years ago when it was new) and $450 in cash stashed in a hiding spot only a few people knew about.
We didn't have a clue who did it, until a neighbor came forward and said she saw my next door neighbor go in my front door and then come around the backside of the building.
This person is my husbands best friends girlfriend. We did give them a key in case of emergencies.
We have already reported everything, and they are going to question her and then we will have a court date. I am asking because she is a very very lying and manipulative person and am afraid she could walk without receiving any sort of punishment.

My question is what type of punishment will she get if she has no criminal record? And does anybody else have a similar story?

2nd degree theft in WA is a class C felony, a very serious crime. Under RCW 9A.56.040, a judge may impose a max sentence of 5 years jail and $10,000 fine. However, as a first time offender, of course she will not get the max but she won't walk either if the evidence is solid. If convicted her actual sentence is at the discretion of the judge, will probably include restitution and even if she gets probation, she will have to stay out of trouble or do associated jail time.

First you have no proof she did anything. So you have to prove she did it. Which I doubt you can do unless she admits to the crime. Then it depends entirely on the judge/jury what happens after that. So be prepared for anything and expect the worst.
