What can I do for being threatened to be killed?

My ex boyfriend threatened to come up here and kill me and my family. I am sick of what he does to me with all the threatening and harassing. Can I do anything? He deserves to finally pay for the fact he's threatening everyone to kill them and or hack them (on Xbox), harassing, underage drinking and smoking. He's 15. I'm only 13 and I'm afraid.

A threat is enough to get someone arrested in the state of California.

Do you have a voice mail message, text, email, chat convo, or written note/letter with him saying these things? You can file a police report if you have some evidence. Get a restraining order and begin a legal paper trail. I would call the police anyway and ask what can be done if you do not have any physical evidence. Couldnt hurt to ask.

There's a criminal charge for that called, "Terroristic Threats". He should be careful because if someone calls this into the cops he can be arrested, and might spend time in Juvey.

All of the above answers are good, but seeing as you re a minor you must report these threats to yours and his parents. Get an adult involved as well as the police. The police will refer you to your parents anyhow, but it certainly doesn t hurt to involve them--they will take a special interest if there is a real threat to a minor.
