United Kingdom traffic lights cameras?

I live in the UK. If a set of traffic lights have a red light camera does the camera(s) take a photo from the front or back (or both)? Are there any traffic light cameras in the UK currently that are able to take a photograph of who is driving the car at the time? Also do pelican and puffin crossings have traffic light cameras ?
Thanks!

The local crossing near me has a camera which take a photo of the back of the offending car as it races on up the road. But more often than not the camera is either switched off or broke. Usual thing.

I've got no faith in pedestrian crossings with cameras because on a number of occasions cars have raced through the red light at my local crossing while people are still in the middle of the road. If all the camera does it to flash someone who is doing say 35 mph then that's not good enough. The cam should go off immediately anyone crosses the line when the light is on red.

This probably the most famous pedestrian crossing anywhere in the world - lots of people visit it.

There are speeding cameras that take pictures from the front. But for jump light cameras, these are usually taken from behind because you have to pass the camera in order to have jumped the red light.

I haven't heard of crossings that have cameras before. But they could exist.

There are also some cameras that use video instead of pictures. So they capture everything from every angle.

Red light cameras look like this:

And they are positioned before the lights, like this:

They take a picture of the back of your car if you cross the line while the lights are on red.

The little boxes on top of the lights are motion sensors, not cameras:

They are used to control the sequence of the lights depending on traffic flow and whether or not pedestrians are still crossing the road...

hi If a vehicle gets photographed by ability of a velocity or mild digicam the value ticket will immediately bypass to the registered keeper and that they have have 2 techniques a million settle for the value ticket 2 Notify on returned of value ticket who replaced into using ( and should be arranged to bypass as procecution witness in courtroom), return value ticket, properly suited driving force sent value ticket. Cameras take the photograph from the front so have photograph evidence as to who replaced into using. Andy C

The UK was told by Germany to turn off the speed cameras.

Apparently it was not good for car sales and the German

car makers (most UK cars are from Germany) wanted

it more dangerous, like in Germany.

So no, probably ot any more cameras.

It is very dangerous in the UK now, as if car drivers deliberately try to kill.

Definately this was arranged in Berlin.
