Question:
Cops: Didn't you take the oath to protect society from the "Monster Criminals"?

How do you feel knowing the potheads you've arrested are currently doing more time in prison than this dirt bag?

"A Lowell woman who police said locked her then 5-year-old son in a sweltering, feces-filled attic for hours as punishment, will be locked up herself -- in jail."

Yes, the liberal newspaper does a good job setting up suspense for the real time this abuser will face in jail.....

"In Lowell Superior Court yesterday, Judge Paul Chernoff sentenced Kristin Paquette, 29, to six months in jail at the women's facility in Framingham."

Good job officers. Keep up the strong work. I feel a whole lot safer knowing a pothead is in prison.

If police had any moral responsibility they would refuse to arrest these people.

But instead they catch the bad guys and this is what happens to them http://www.rense.com/general61/insane.htm

I'm not a cop, but do want to weigh in here. The sentencing does not come from the police, it comes from a judge. The police officers job ends after the arrest/citation. These are people bound by the laws they are told to enforce, is it right that this woman only got six months when there are mandatory minimums out there for drug offensives that are as high as 25 years in prison. No. But it's on the legislatures, lawyers, and judges; not the police.

*Note - The fewer hired guns we have on our streets the safer we would be, police have many problems of their own and commit many injustices. I don't know that this is one of them.

Where do you live that police officers set the punishment for people?

Maybe you should be blaming the right people here...

- Also, I'm pretty sure there isn't an oath in law enforcement that mentions "Monster Criminals."

I arrest a lot of "potheads."

They get a fine and probation.

It's the people doing the selling and distribution that wind up with the real time. I can't bring myself to feel sorry for dope dealers, Jimmy.

No, they took an oath to support and defend the constitution. Since the legislation makes the laws, the police have no choice but to enforce them.
