Should we arm the police with dart pistols?

It would make The Bill more boring, but wouldn't this mean that the police could catch criminals far easier, in a non-lethal way?

Yeah - give them some darts laced with 'little punk' tranquilizer and let them drive around shooting those little wanna-be gang ****ers that go around breaking into cars and stealing stuff.

Sure and pay for them to drink in pubs for hours so they can practice.

Sorry don't know what "the bill" is so I have no smart answer for that. But I am sure the bill is as idiotic as this suggestion.
